Student Nutrition Services
We are looking forward to serving our students healthy, fun nutritious meals that meet the USDA meal pattern standards.
The Alamogordo Public Schools Student Nutrition Services Department provides breakfast and lunch for all students who attend District Schools. Dinners (super snacks) will be offered to all afterschool instructed programs. The department also provides summer lunch program meals at sites around the city of Alamogordo.
Redefining Campus Dining
Student Nutrition is more than just a sack lunch or a tray from the school cafeteria. It is taking the time to adequately plan, prepare, and provide nutrition based on dietary guidelines from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and other health professionals to provide your student with the best lunch possible. From the moment you walk into one of our dining facilities, you are transported from the hustle and bustle of campus life to the comfort of a friendly neighborhood restaurant - or a trendy downtown food truck. Receive our premiere standard of service and food, but in an atmosphere, that’s been designed to match.
Free Meals for all students
The 2024-25 school year brings a free breakfast and a free lunch for ALL students. Any student who stays after school in an instructed program will also be offered a free dinner( super snack). All APS schools are Categorically Eligible Provision (CEP) schools and no income eligibility applications will be required to complete for meal qualifying.
If your child would like to purchase a second meal or would like to purchase from the High School coffee shop you may put money on your child's account using LINQ Connect.
No cash will be accepted in any cafeteria but will be accepted at the AHS Bookstore, or District Office, Building B, Student Nutrition Department, 1211 Hawaii Ave.
If you should have any questions, please call Sandra Davis, Student Nutrition Coordinator at (575) 812-6085 or Vanessa Chacon, Administrative Assistant at (575)812-6084.
