πŸ’ŒπŸ’˜ Kindness Month is almost over. We hope that you are getting the message about passing kindness on. When we do kind things for people, they feel so good about what we did that they often do kind acts for others. As kindness is passed on from one person to another, an outward ripple effect is created, like a raindrop that falls into water. In this way, one Random Act of Kindness can be passed on and on, bringing happiness to many others. πŸ’Œ Anthropologist Margaret Mead once said, β€œNever believe that a few caring people can’t change the world. For, indeed, that’s all who ever have.” We also can’t forget about being kind to ourselves. We also have to make sure we take care of our mind and body so that we are the best version of ourselves to be kind to others. πŸ’žπŸ’“ This week, let’s make sure we are being kind to ourselves. Thanks to all the students and staff for helping to make this a great month! Now, let’s all work together to pass the kindness on throughout our school and into our community. πŸ’žMonday, February 24 β–ͺ️Challenge: β€œPractice 4-4-6 Breathing. Breathe in for 4 counts, hold it for 4 counts, exhale for 6 counts. Repeat.” β–ͺ️Flo Kindness Tour: Sunset Hills Elementary πŸ’ž February 25 β–ͺ️Challenge: β€œUnplug from technology for an hour or more. Use the time to relax, read, or spend time in nature.” β–ͺ️Flo Kindness Tour: Holloman Middle School πŸ’žFebruary 26 β–ͺ️Challenge: β€œStart a gratitude journal and write down three things you are thankful for each day.” β–ͺ️Flo Kindness Tour: Stepping Stones Pre-K πŸ’žFebruary 27 β–ͺ️Challenge: β€œSet up a β€˜calm corner’ in your space where you can go relax and de-stress.” β–ͺ️Flo Kindness Tour: Yucca Elementary πŸ’ž February 28 β–ͺ️Challenge: β€œPractice saying kind things to yourself. You are capable of amazing things!” #MakeKindnessTheNorm #kindnessmonth #BekindtoYourself
